The Data Science and AI Institute and the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences (KSAS) recently launched a series of symposia about the confluence of AI with the humanities and the natural and social sciences. The goal is to create a community of scholars whose interests include using AI tools in their research and/or are studying AI’s impact on society.

Using AI to Understand Our Past and Plan for the Future

In this symposium, speakers will address how artificial intelligence and data science can help historians understand our past. Part of the discussion will be on whether past patterns can help us plan for the future. Each speaker will give a talk on the topic, followed by an audience Q&A session.
