AI for HOPE Convening

This is the first in a series of workshops aimed at advancing the application of Artificial Intelligence to better serve communities that face significant mental health and substance use inequities through health policy and practice.

The specific objectives for the meeting are:

1. Bridge the knowledge and education gap to support leveraging AI for public health, particularly in ways to address growing inequities in suicide, overdose, and alcohol-related disease.
2. Foster collaboration between AI experts, academia, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and community leaders, to advance the translation of cutting-edge AI health research into practical, actionable solutions.
3. Bring together diverse perspectives to ensure that AI-powered strategies to address health inequities are culturally sensitive, equitable, and sustainable.
4. Discover methods for successfully implementing AI & ML technologies to improve support for populations that face significant mental health and substance use inequities.
