Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee will promote the Data Science and AI Institute’s commitment to the values of diversity, equality, inclusion, community, and social impact. The DEI Committee will ensure that the Data Science and AI Institute’s activities serve as an exemplar. It will be essential for the Data Science and AI Institute programs to promote equitable access to resources, support, and opportunities across all levels of the community including undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, staff, and faculty levels. This committee will monitor the atmosphere of the Data Science and AI Institute’s community, evaluate the inclusivity of our culture, representation, and satisfaction of its members, and identify opportunities for continued improvement and growth. Furthermore, given the unique role of artificial intelligence in society, the DEI Committee will consider the importance of social responsibility and equity in the advances and application of data science and AI technologies in a diverse local and global community.
